With only a two percent retail vacancy rate compared to 29 percent across Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, The Shops at 900 North Michigan are thriving in a difficult retail climate. Building owner JMB Realty undertook a $52 million renovation in 2018 that helped position the six-story mall to flourish through challenging pandemic times. A mix of retailers, a food hall, Equinox Fitness, Bubbles Academy and a Tricoci Salon & Spa are among the tenants drawing local residents on a regular basis. DMA is proud to have led recent remodeling and retail tenant delivery work at The Shops on behalf of building ownership. Our team has a long history of supporting redevelopment activities in the mixed-use tower, including condominium, office and green roof projects at 900 North Michigan.
