DMA’s Charles Porter served on the eight-member jury of design and construction experts who judged the 2013 IDEAS² Awards—for Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel. Conducted by the American Institute of Steel Construction, the awards represent the highest honor bestowed on building projects by the U.S. structural steel industry. The thirteen recognized projects include a retractable roof in Salt Lake City, a solar canopy in Chicago, and the NASCAR Hall of Fame, in Charlotte.
