Sarah Burrows holds the chief marketing position for 900 North Michigan Shops at 900 North Michigan Avenue, a 450,000-square-foot retail property on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile that attracts more than 9 million visitors annually. Sarah directs and implements an annual marketing budget of over $1 million, managing an internal team and working with external agencies and partners to drive traffic through integrated and innovative advertising, public relations, web, social media, special event, and promotional strategies.
Sarah routinely looks for new and better ways to do business, to enhance sales for retailers, and to get the greatest value from marketing investments. Over more than five years at the 900 North Michigan Shops, Sarah initiated a successful rebranding, including a redesign of the center’s signature campaign, visitor program, and collateral. She orchestrated the redevelopment and optimization of shop900.com. She launched an electronic, opt-in consumer membership opportunity, established productive relationships with local concierge and hospitality industry professionals, and created a strong public image for the center as a community leader through special events and support of nonprofit and civic groups.
Well respected by ownership, tenants, management staff, and other industry professionals, Sarah brings high energy, fresh ideas, and tangible results to her work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Mass Communication and in Art & Art History from the University of Iowa.
